The SHATTER font is meant to convey the broken and damaged remains of the addict. The Ad Council font is supposed to represent a voice of reason and calmness amidst the other frenzied words. The thin border of black and white placed horizontally and vertically on the image is meant to tie together graphically the poster's elements giving it an asymmetric feel that compliments the fractured elements of the face and graphics.
